Spring comes late to the Rockies. Glacier lilies are one of the first flowers to emerge, with its delicate yellow flowers pressing through snow in high alpine meadows. The rich smells of the melting ground and the first sight of Spring are reminiscent of Sencha, which is made from the first harvest of tea leaves in April or May. It yields a bright green infusion that has a refreshing energy, with a balance of juicy sweet flavour, deep umami and a crisp refreshing finish.

Our Sencha Yamabuki is grown organically along hillsides in Japan. After harvest, the tea leaves are lightly steamed, then rolled and dried.

Sencha is the most popular type of tea in Japan, and makes a perfect every day green tea.

Organic Ingredients: Premium Japanese Green Tea

sweet and mild green tea

I agree with one of the previous reviews. If you prefer a more mild green tea flavour, this is your jam. It's got a subtle sweetness to it too with a nice green tea scent. If you're like me and prefer a stronger and/or more bitter green tea, you'd need to use more tea leaves than you think or opt for a different tea.

Definitely a Mild Green Tea

The tea flavour is mild & lovely, as described in other reviews. For my taste, however, a more distinct flavour/roast is preferred.
