They are made of stainless-steel micro-mesh in a heat-tolerant frame from BPA-free material. These filters are durable and dishwasher-safe. The hat of the filter helps to prevent heat loss and doubles as drip-off tray.

Best Way to Brew

I have been endlessly searching for the right thing to brew my tea. mesh balls were too difficult to clean, and the stand alone with the stick wasn’t filtering properly, but this. this is it. i will use this until it breaks or i die and even then i’d buy more. bless whoever made this

Perfect!

I like this steeper basket because it is a good size - 5.5cm is diameter at its base, 7cm diameter at the top, and the parts that rest on your tea pot make it 10cm long in total. It is perfect for a tea pot or to hang inside a large mug. It gives your loose tea leaves enough space to steep, expand and let their flavours loose! I have used it for mulling spices at Christmas time too and it withstood a long steep without discoloration (though I hand wash only). The lid does not screw on, it just rests on the basket (FYI).
