Jolene’s Matcha Green tea powder and all our traditional green tea are sourced from a family-owned farm situated in the southern region of Kyoto. NAKAI is a well-rounded enterprise that handles every aspect of production, including cultivation, processing, refining, packaging, and distribution in Wazuka, located at the southern end of Kyoto. This comprehensive approach allows NAKAI to maintain control over quality at every stage to ensure the delivery of exceptional products on time. For more than four centuries, the NAKAI family has been dedicated to producing Uji tea. Currently managed by its seventh generation with a team consisting of six full-time and seven part-time members. The entire farm operates without any use of herbicides or pesticides and is fully organic certified.
