Fall Has Arrived: Warm, Spiced Teas for Cozy Autumn Days

The first cool morning of fall always changes what I'm reaching for. The iced tea pitcher gets tucked away, the kettle starts making more appearances, and suddenly warm, spiced teas sound exactly right. As the days get shorter and the air turns crisp, there's something comforting about wrapping your hands around a favourite mug before heading out the door or settling in for the evening. Fall and tea just belong together.

One of the things I love most about fall tea is how the flavours seem to match the season. Rich spices, warming herbs, and smooth vanilla create the kind of cup that feels especially welcome after a walk outside or on a rainy afternoon. If you're a fan of bold flavours, chai tea is an easy choice. The warming spices are comforting without being overpowering, whether you enjoy it on its own or as a creamy chai latte.

When the day calls for something a little quieter, a soothing herbal tea is just as fitting. Mint, chamomile, and other gentle blends offer a calming way to slow down while adding a little warmth to cooler days. One of my favourite things about autumn is that it gives us permission to slow down a little. The busy pace of summer starts to settle, evenings arrive earlier, and staying in suddenly feels like a good plan. Tea naturally becomes part of that rhythm.

A favourite mug, a cozy blanket, and a few quiet minutes are often all it takes to turn an ordinary evening into something a little more relaxing. Those small rituals don't have to be complicated, but they have a way of becoming some of the best parts of the season.
Whether you're spending the day exploring Banff or simply enjoying the changing colours closer to home, the right cup of autumn tea makes it even easier to savour everything that fall has to offer.
