Stay Cool: Cold Brew Tea Tips for Hot Days

A glass of cold brew tea on a hot summer afternoon just feels right. Whether you're coming back from a hike, spending the day on the patio, or simply trying to cool off after being outside, a pitcher of iced tea feels like summer.

One of my favourite things about cold brew loose leaf tea is how easy it is to make.

Unlike hot tea, which comes together in a few minutes, cold brew tea takes its time. As the leaves slowly steep in cool water, the flavour develops gradually, creating a tea that's naturally smooth, refreshing, and far less bitter than hot tea that's been chilled. It's one of the easiest ways to enjoy loose leaf tea during the warmer months.

If you've ever wondered how to make cold brew tea, the process is easy. Add your favourite loose leaf tea to cold, fresh water, place it in the refrigerator, and let it steep for several hours or overnight. By the time you're ready for a glass, you'll have a crisp, refreshing drink waiting for you.

Our Iced Tea Pitcher Packs make the process even easier, especially if you're making enough to share or like keeping a pitcher in the fridge throughout the week.

If you're looking for something a little different, the Matcha Colada is a fun way to switch things up. The combination of creamy coconut and vibrant matcha feels tropical without being overly sweet, making it a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up or something to enjoy with friends on the patio.

One of the best things about cold brew tea is that it's ready whenever you are. Pour a glass before heading into the garden, pack it for a picnic, or enjoy it while settling in with a good book. It fits naturally into the slower pace of summer, making it easy to stay refreshed wherever the day takes you.

Sometimes staying cool is as simple as having a good pitcher of iced tea waiting in the fridge.
