The Perfect Tea for Hiking

The Perfect Tea for Hiking

Banff National Park has a short, but magical summer season. We are famous for the vast number of spectacular hiking trails that awe-inspiring both the gentlest of outdoor enthusiasts, as well as the adventurous spirits. Majestic peaks, turquoise lakes, and meadows of wildflowers will make you never want to leave!

Tea is your perfect companion on these trips. Unlike coffee, tea is healthy, hydrating, and rejuvenating. On your rest breaks, revive your senses, and refresh as you catch your breath and take in the beauty around you.

Why is tea good when hiking?
Tea comes from the Camelia Sinensis plant, which contains theanine, a non-protein amino acid. Theanine can significantly reduce symptoms of anxiety, such as a racing heartbeat. It has been shown to affect brain functions by relieving stress disorders and improving mood.
Drinking tea on the trail has further benefits, such as:
  • stabilizing energy level
  • influencing focus and motivation
  • calming
  • reduce inflammation and relieves tired muscles
